Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, I've always felt most at home near the ocean. The rhythm of the waves, the salty air, and the grounding presence of nature continue to inspire the way I move, teach, and live.
Over the past nine years, my yoga journey evolved from a personal search to quiet the noise of everyday life into a deep path of healing. It has reminded me that strength and softness can exist together, and that healing often begins in the moments when we allow ourselves to simply be. When I'm not teaching, you'll likely find me walking by the ocean, exploring local trails, or cuddling up with a furry friend.

Kind Words
"Annette came to my women's retreat this past weekend and brought INCREDIBLE energy. Her classes are truly the best and she brought such a light to the weekend. The girls were talking about how much they loved the class all weekend. I love the way she builds heat in her classes and they are always structured so well. It was truly amazing to have her there and can't wait for the next one!"
"I would describe Annette's classes as: creative, intentional, accommodating, nourishing and fluid. And if I can add another word — FUN!"

Reflections
June 2026
The Summer Solstice arrives each year as a gentle reminder to pause and notice. It marks the longest day of the year — a celebration of light, growth, and all that has been unfolding beneath the surface, often without us realizing it. Nature doesn't rush into bloom. It unfolds in its own time. And perhaps we're not so different…
As I reflect on this season, I'm reminded that growth doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary, taking a deep breath before reacting, resting when we need rest, and showing up for ourselves in small, consistent ways.
This year, the solstice feels especially meaningful. It arrives as I'm creating this new space and finding fresh ways to share the practice that has supported me for so many years.
If you've been practicing with me lately, you've probably heard me speak about coming home to yourself. The Summer Solstice feels like an invitation to do exactly that — to step into the light, acknowledge how far you've come, and trust the season you're in.
As we move into the fullness of summer, my hope is that you find moments to slow down, soak in the warmth, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Be well,
Annette
